Midisoft Recording Session4 1997 Edition

Install 32-bit version for Windows

This is the procedure I used to install on Windows-XP-Home-SP2

I can Not guarantee you a "good install" only tell you what worked for me.

Proceed at your own risk

I am not responsible for any damage - malfunction of your computer!

Created a Directory/Folder on the Desktop named "Install Session4"

Placed the file "SETUP.EXE" in this folder.

Do Not Run  "SETUP.EXE" by Double-Click Nor Start -> Run,  at this time, wait.

Because it is a Windows 95 -or- Windows 3.1 Format Version.
The "Program Compatibility Wizard" of Windows XP must be used to Install.
When you come to 'Step 12' an install box dialog select 32-bit.

1. Select "Program Compatibility Wizard" from Start -> All Programs -> Accessories

2. Next

3. Manually Select - Next

4. "SETUP.EXE" - via Browse to its folder -Next

5. If using Folder on DeskTop - Next

6. Select Windows 95 Compatibility - Next

17.    I use Extended on My SP2

If you Do Not "hear drums" perhaps try different, mine defaulted to Extended.

- Extended-level (MIDI Channels 1 to 10, drums on channel 10)
- General MIDI (MIDI Channels 1 to 16, drums on channel 10)
Many people prefer General MIDI.
If you do hear drums (yes), select Next, you can reset when running Session4.
